Morning Prayers

Glory to the Father, to the Son and to the Spirit –
As it was at the birth of time,
As it is here and now,
As it ever will be, world unending.

Prayer of the Cup:

Father of life,
All who lift the cup today –
Of black tea, of green tea,
The cup of chai,
The cup of coffee
 (The holiest cup of all!) –
Yes, all who lift the cup today
Lift it by your grace.

Some lift the cup in joy,
In contentment,
Or in peace;
Others lift it in bitterness
Or sorrow,
Or pain.

May each one sense you near, 
Within reach,
Close as the cup in the hands.

In all the events we will face, 
And with all those we will encounter,
Help us to walk as you would have us walk,
To act as you would have us act,
To speak as you would have us speak.

Our Father:

Our Father in the hidden realm,
May your name be holy.
Let your kingdom come,
Let your will be done on the earth,
Just as in heaven.
Give to us the food we need today,
And forgive us for missing the mark,
As we, too, forgive others,
And do not lead us into the test,
But save us from what is evil.

Evening Prayers

At this day's ending,
As the sun has descended and light has faded to darkness,
We ask for peaceful rest to descend,
Rest from our tasks, rest for our bodies,
Rest from our troubles, rest for our minds,
Rest amidst our joys, rest for our spirits.

And as a new day emerges
And we wake with the dawn,
Let us remain awake:
Awake to your goodness,
Awake to your voice,
Awake to your presence
Within and beyond us.

Prayer for Tomorrow:

On all the paths we will take tomorrow,
In all the events we will face, 
And with all those we will encounter,
Help us to walk as you would have us walk,
